PRIDE Ambassadors

The PRIDE Ambassadors Club, formally known as First Friends,  began in the Fall of 2016. It was established to train members to welcome new students, greet visitors, demonstrate and model PRIDE (preparedness, respect, integrity, determination, and excellence), and collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

The selection criteria includes the following: genuine concern and care for others, being well-respected by peers and faculty, consistently serving as a role-model for making good choices and following school rules, exhibiting peer-friendly traits such as patience and friendliness,  and above average school attendance.

Students that desired to join the PRIDE Ambassadors Club completed an application and were recommended by two teachers. A selection committee chose club members based on the application and recommendations. We are looking forward to another great year of seeing the impact of this club at CES

First Friends’ 2019-20 Pop Tab Challenge

Each class is encouraged to turn in pop tabs to Ms. Love, preferably during the classes’ lab time.
If possible, as pop tabs are turned in, label how many cups of pop tabs are being turned in along with the homeroom teacher’s name.
The class with the most cups of pop tabs turned in at the end of the school year will receive a pizza party from First Friends.
Pop tabs are donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House serves many families who have children who need to be in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House provides a way for children to be able to have their families close by while they are in the hospital.
