Hewlett, Michele (Assistant Principal)

This is my third year as having the pleasure of serving as the assistant principal at Chickasaw Elementary School.  Prior to my current position, I was a special education teacher for grades K-8 for 15 years.  My last 5 years of teaching involved my being both a special education department head and the IEP chairperson. 

I have been happily married for 23 years.  I am the parent of two adult children whom I am very proud of.  I also have two sweet pups at home that are very spoiled.  

I am a proud graduate of the University of South Alabama with a Collaborative Teaching Degree.  I earned my graduate degree from the University of West Alabama in Instructional Leadership. I have received awards and certifications for being a Certified Instructional Leader, A member of the Safe and Civil Team for being a Banner School, Wal-mart Teacher of the Year, and the CLAS Assistant Principal Of the Year.
