Horton, Heather (Special Education)

Hello, I am the K-5th Behavior Specialist. I serve students daily and work towards meeting their goals. I want to help them feel safe and learn how to express their feelings. This is my 5th year at Chickasaw Elementary. I previously taught First grade for 3 years. I am currently pressuring my masters in Special Education with the University of West Alabama. I am a wife of 5 years and a mother for the past 2 years.

Teaching has been my passion since I was about 6 years old. I knew at a young age that teaching was what I wanted to do when my aunt would take me to work with her. I followed my dream and am currently living it.
