Mrs. Marla Ford Howell
I have been an educator in Mississippi and Alabama for 39 years. I currently teach special education at Chickasaw Intermediate School.
I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in elementary education, and later received a master's degree from William Carey University in mild to moderate disabilities.
In 2018, I was named Teacher of the Year at Chickasaw Elementary. I have been teaching in Chickasaw for the past ten years, which has been my favorite time in the education field.
In my spare time, I enjoy working with the Distinguished Young Women of George County, where I am the co-chairman of the DYW program and chairman of scholarships. I have judged DYW programs in MS and AL. I also enjoy cheering on the MSU Bulldogs and traveling.
I have 2 grown children and two precious granddaughters. I am married to Bryan Howell and I am a faithful member of First Church of Lucedale in George County.
