Mrs. Marla Ford Howell
My name is Marla Howell. I teach Special Education at Chickasaw Elementary. I taught general education and special education in MS for 28 years, before coming to Chickasaw in 2015. I graduated from Mississippi State University and William Carey University, with a master's degree in Mild/Moderate Disabilities. I was selected as Teacher of the Year in 2018. I love what I do, and I am blessed to be at Chickasaw. I am currently teaching 3-4th grade special education at Chickasaw.
I am married and I have two grown children and two precious granddaughters. I enjoy Mississippi State football and pageants. I am a member of Lucedale Fine Arts Club, that sponsors the Gingham Tree, an arts and crafts festival. I work closely with the Distinguished Young Women of George County, which is a scholorship program for high school girls. This year I am co-chair of the program and chairman of scholarships. My husband and I reside in the Howell community in George County, and attend Lucedale First United Methodist Church.
