McCormick, Hannah (Sixth Grade ELA)

I joined the CIS family in 2024. This will be my 3rd year in education, and I am happy to have found my “tribe” at Chickasaw Intermediate. I earned my degree in English and 6-12 certification from The University of Mobile in 2023. I always say I will forever be a 6th grade teacher. 

I have been married to my husband, Dalton, for nearly 3 years and we have one daughter, JoAnna Rae, who is 7 months old. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching the latest tv shows, shopping, and most of all, spending time with my family. 

As a student with ADHD, I struggled in reading and writing. I had amazing teachers who pushed me and helped me get to where I needed to be. As a teacher, I desire to be a cheerleader for ALL students, especially those who need a little pep in their life. I feel there is no greater job than building up future doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, welders, HVAC workers, homemakers, etc. I can’t wait to see where life takes them the day after graduation.
