Romine, Sharee (Fourth Grade Reading)

I joined the CIS family in 2024. This will be my twenty-fifth year in education, and I am thrilled to spend it at Chickasaw Intermediate. I earned my degree in English from The University of Mobile - then Mobile College and later received my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of teaching grades 3 - 12, but I find fourth grade my "happy place".

I have been married to my husband, Phil, for thirty-four years and we have two sons, Garrett and Brady, who followed in their dad's footsteps and became worship pastors. Brady is married to Kelsey, an amazing second grade teacher. We are incredibly proud of all three! In my extra time, I enjoy reading, getting my nails done, playing tennis, and most of all, spending time with my family playing games, cooking meals, and watching sports.

At an early age, I knew I wanted nothing more than to be a teacher. I practiced on a chalkboard given to me by Santa and had imaginary students who sat in old wooden desks my grandfather gifted me, completing worksheets my teachers sent home for her "classroom". Living out this lifelong dream in education continues to be my honor and privilege. My students will always be my "babies".
